Just after midnight Saturday morning, we posted a traffic alert about a serious accident on Hwy 169 southbound near the water tower. The following is an update from the Owasso Police Department.
“06-06-2015 at approximately 0047 hours Owasso Police responded to a reported single vehicle collision at 9500 southbound US 169. Officers located an individual that had been ejected from the vehicle, as well as one damaged vehicle. The victim was transported to a metro hospital where the victim was pronounced dead. The incident is under investigation by Owasso Police collision re-constructionists and is ongoing. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the family.”
Though police did not release the victims name, his uncle posted on Owassoisms Facebook page.
