Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatality crash on Highway 20 east of Highway 169.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash – both with heavy damage to their left front sides.
The head-on collision took place near 168th East Avenue, east of Owasso. A Dodge Stratus was eastbound when the car went left of center for an unknown reason.
A witness said the car just “drifted” over the center line. It went into the path of a westbound Ford pickup. The driver of the Stratus was killed. The other driver was taken by Owasso medics to a Tulsa hospital emergency status in unknown condition.
Traffic is currently being diverted into the eastbound lanes. It is recommended that drivers avoid the area as traffic investigators will be on scene for some time.
