Fire District Candidate Filings Set to Begin Monday, July 11, 2016
Candidates for the Fire Districts in 7 Rogers County Fire Districts will file their Declarations of Candidacy over three days beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 11, and continuing Tuesday and Wednesday, Rogers County Election Board Secretary Julie Dermody said today.
Dermody said the official filing period ends at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13. All candidate filings will occur at the Rogers County Election Board office, 415 W 1st St, in Claremore, Dermody explained.
The Fire District positions at stake will be filled at the Special Fire District Election scheduled November 8, 2016.
Offices for which Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office include the following:
Northwest Fire Protection Position # 13 year term
Limestone Fire Position # 55 year term
Position # 32 year term
Foyil Fire Position # 36 year term
Tri-District Fire Position # 36 year term
Verdigris Fire Position # 36 year term
Fair Oaks Fire Position # 36 year term
