Live Better Events are casual, fast-paced monthly events focused on life improvement. These FREE events will happen every first Tuesday of each month at Owasso First Assembly and will typically last for one hour.
At the August 4th “College Prep” Live Better Event…
• Parents and Students will learn Study Skills and Financial Aid Options
to become better prepared for College.
• Have a chance to WIN one of two iPads!
Event Speakers…
Michelle Cantrell will speak about how to study effectively and efficiently. She will also discuss the importance of being well organized and the importance of using a day planner.
Michelle is a teacher and coach at Owasso Public School starting in her 19th year. She teaches classes on How to Study, Life Skills, and Career Planning.
Vicki Hendrickson will give an overview of scholarships as well as state and federal aid options that are available to students that are pursuing different educational opportunities after high school.
Vicki currently works as the Director of Student Financial Services at The University of Tulsa. She has worked at TU for the past 16 years. Vicki has always worked in higher education throughout her profession before coming to TU from Oklahoma City University. Prior to working at Oklahoma City University she worked at the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

Owasso First Assembly is located at 9341 N. 129th E. Ave. in Owasso, Oklahoma across from Home Depot. This event will be held in the Youth Building on the South end of the property. Childcare will be located in the main building in the OTown Kids facility on the North end of the property.
