Freeda Lucille Manning was born August 4, 1938, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Millard and Fannie Edith Taliaferro. She died Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years. Freeda completed her secondary education in Tulsa and was a graduated of Central High School. She continued her education attending business college and cosmetology schools, while at the same time providing as a single parent. She also worked as a waitress and motel housekeeper. She had worked at the Golden Drumstick at German Corner and then as a teacher at La Patite Daycare in Owasso. Freeda was married March 27, 1977, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Harold “Max” Manning. She was a longtime faithful member of the Church of Christ in Owasso. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including watching old Westerns and painting the woodworking projects that Max would make.

Sister and brother-in-law; Wanda and Ray Wilburn, of Tulsa, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Max, brother, Charles Taliaferro, sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Don Butts, and a granddaughter, Alexandria Renee Jones.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Dan Schnell officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Sandridge Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
