George Howard Robertson was born April 25, 1926, in Manitou, Oklahoma, to George Washington Robertson, Jr. and Bonnie Frances Welborn. He died Friday, January 10, 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years. Howard completed his secondary education in Tipton, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Tipton High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army. He was also a member of the Merchant Marines and attended radio school in New York. Howard was married August 18, 1962, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Donna Jane Knight. They were longtime faithful charter members of Central Baptist Church in Owasso since 1963. Howard spent most of his working life as a customer engineer with IBM in Tulsa. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including hunting, fishing, woodworking, and wood carving. He was also a member of the Good Sams Club and enjoyed camping and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna, and two brothers, Merle Robertson and Allen Robertson
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 10:00 Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Dr. David Robertson and Pastor Scott Carlson officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 9001 North 145th East Avenue, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
