Willis Geraldine “Jerry” Little, Owasso-Collinsville resident, passed away Wednesday June 7, 2017, at the age of 98 years. Geraldine was born January 13, 1919, to William and Grace (Sitter) Cooper in Cairo, Illinois, where she was raised and received her education. On October 12, 1940, Geraldine was united in marriage to Jack Edward Little in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. They made their home in Cape Girardeau until moving to Oklahoma in 1953, where they lived in Chickasha, Tulsa, Muskogee, finally retiring in Chickasha. Jack preceded her in death in February of 1982. Geraldine moved to Owasso eight years ago. She attended Rejoice Church and enjoyed reading, playing games, and exercising.
Those that survive include her son – Jack E. Little of Owasso; five grandchildren – Sherry Beeson (John) of Owasso; Shawn Little (Christy) of Owasso; Leigh Ann Hardy (John) of McKinney, Texas; Andy Little (Lindsay) of Broken Arrow; and Katie Dodson (Jonathan) of Oklahoma City. Thirteen great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Janice Little of Muskogee. Besides her husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by a son Howard, two sisters, Dorothy and Alma, and a daughter-in-law Marilyn.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in the sanctuary of the Rejoice Church with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 4-8 PM Monday evening at Mowery Funeral Service. Geraldine will be laid to rest next to her husband at 3:00 PM Tuesday in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Chickasha, Oklahoma.
