Gordon Herrick Wilcox was born May 16, 1931, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Clarence Hildreth and Lina Albertina Knapp Wilcox. He died Thursday, September 23, 2021, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. After high school, Gordon attended Western Baptist Bible College in El Cerrito, California. He was married July 30, 1960, in Upper Lake, California, to the love of his life, Phyllis Hill. He worked to develop and maintain Meteor Ranch Bible Conference as well as a cattle ranch where he served humbly and tirelessly year after year. His generosity touched the lives of many. He was fueled by his love for God, his family and endless cups of black coffee from sun up to sun down.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Don Wilcox.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. that same afternoon at Green Acres Memorial Gardens in rural Owasso with Pastor Mike Gleason officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Tim Wilcox, Phil Wilcox, Adam Wilcox, Morgan Little, Jared Wilcox, Caleb Wilcox, and Max Wilcox. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
