Iria Lee Jones was born on May 6, 1938, in Morris, Oklahoma to Thomas Aubrey King and Opal Pearl (Luna) King. She passed from this life on Saturday, September 11, 2021, In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years. Iria Lee was raised and educated in Morris and graduated with the Morris High School Class of 1956. She was married on April 4, 1963 to Billy Ray Jones, Sr. She spent most of her working life as a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell in Tulsa for 13 years. She enjoyed a variety of past times such as sewing, cooking, baking, taking trips to the casino, watching Oklahoma Sooner football and softball, and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Opal, brother Aubrey Kendall King and husband, Billy Ray Jones, Sr.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Mowery Service Chapel. Interment will be held at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Iria’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, www.givenow.lls.org.
