James Lee Dye was born July 16, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to James Dewayne Dye and Linda (Gill) Dye. He passed from this life Thursday, July 26, 2018, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma at the age of 50 years. James was raised and educated in Owasso, Oklahoma and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1987. He married Christina Marie (Kapelos) Dye in Claremore, Oklahoma on April 1, 2011. He spent most of his working life as caterer with his own company, Savor the Flavor BBQ. James moved to Dallas after his dad passed in 2011 and had recently moved back to Barnsdall. He had a variety of pastimes such as BBQ-ing, cooking, fishing, hunting, having family games nights, and watching his boys play sports. James loved his two dogs, Pepper and Roxy. He was caring and loved his family and raising his nephew.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor James Dye officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
