James Lester Snodgrass was born November 14, 1946, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to James J. Snodgrass and Hazel Bernice Labadie Snodgrass. He died Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years. Jim completed his high school education in Caney, Kansas, and was a graduate of Caney High School. He played football while at Caney and was the quarterback for the Bullpups. He continued his education attending Pittsburg State College in Pittsburg, Kansas. Jim was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Air Force. He served as a member of the pistol rifle team from 1967-1971.
Jim was married December 28, 1970, in Independence, Kansas, to Michele Denise Louis. He spent most of his professional career in business administration as a sales representative. Jim enjoyed a variety of pastimes including fishing and hunting, playing golf, spending time in his garden, and shooting. He also enjoyed time spent reading and watching classic movies. Jim dearly loved his family, especially the grandkids who affectionately knew him as “PaPa”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel Snodgrass, and a sister, Linda Sue Palmer.
Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel lead by Jordan Snodgrass. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
