Janice K. Meador was born June 1, 1941 in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma to Victor Charles “Dick” Minyard, Jr. and Edyth Agnes (Winton). She passed from this life on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. Jan was raised and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1958. She was married on March 16, 1973 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bennie Ray Meador. Jan spent most of her working life as a Medical Transcriptionist, working for Family Medical Clinic in Tulsa for over 20 years. She was a faithful member of Kirk of the Hills Church in Tulsa for over 40 years. Jan was an avid reader and enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as listening to music, dancing, fishing and caring for her rose garden. But most of all she loved her family and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Edyth, and husband, Bennie.
Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Mowery Funeral Service chapel with Pastor Bill Ascol officiating. Final Interment will take place at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be in Janice’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue FL 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
