John Michael “Mike” Hutton was born on August 2, 1949, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to John Albert Hutton and Merle Marie (Honse) Hutton. He died on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years. Mike was raised and educated near Greensburg, Pennsylvania and graduated with the Greensburg High School class of 1968. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served two stints in Vietnam and was stationed as a fireman in Antarctica. After being honorably discharged he came back to Pennsylvania where he met and married Elaine Ruth (Yurt) Hutton on February 10, 1973, who died on November 21, 1994. Mike spent a year trying to adjust to civilian life but decided to reenlist in the Navy from February of 1975 through February of 1981. After returning home this time, Mike learned the trade of welding through different shipyards in Indiana. He moved to Owasso, Oklahoma in 1982 in search of a career in welding. He was married to his second wife, Jerry Lynn (Wecker) Hutton on January 23, 1995 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He is survived by many of his loving family.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
