John Owen Fisher was born February 1, 1937, in Buffalo, New York, to Charles and Leona Fisher. He died Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years. After completing his high school education, John married Jane Alice Crouse on June 1, 1957. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1962. John spent most of his working life with American Airlines in Tulsa where he retired as crew chief. He was a longtime member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso where he was active with the St. Henry Men’s Club. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including flying and being outdoors. He was especially fond of his grandchildren who affectionately knew him as “Grandpa”.

Great grandchildren; Zane Latta, Waylon Steelman, Elizabeth Steelman,
Brooklyn Steelman, and Allyson Eddy
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Jane Fisher.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso with Father Josh Litwack officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in John’s memory to the St. Henry Men’s Club, 8500 North Owasso Expressway, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
