Johnny Ransom Holt was born on July 1, 1929, in Haskell County, Oklahoma to John R. Holt and Naomi Isabel (Mosby) Holt. He passed from this life on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years. Johnny attended school through the 8th grade, and finished his education with a GED. He worked on the family farm until enlisting and serving his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was married on August 19, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Dorothy Sue (Acuff) Holt. Johnny spent most of his working life with Public Service Company of Oklahoma for over 30 years, starting as a lineman and working up to a statistical engineer. He had been a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso for over 15 years. In his spare time, Johnny enjoyed a variety of past times such as working outside on his land and raising cattle, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sue, and 9 brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso, Oklahoma with Pastor Kevin Laufer officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
