Thursday, July 7th 2-3 p.m. LEGO Lab. Join us for lots of LEGO-building fun! We will supply the LEGOS and you supply the creativity. For ages 5-10.
Monday, July 11th 1:30-2:15 p.m. & 2:30-3:15 p.m. Matt Sandback’s Shadow Puppet Factory. This shadow puppetry show will enliven the imagination, awaken curiosity about the world and excite young audiences about the power of creativity. Children will have a rollicking good time! For ages 5-12. Daycare groups, please attend the 2:30 show.
Wednesday, July 12th 1-2 p.m. Tulsa Children’s Museum Presents Sail Cars. Students will explore the concepts of inertia, drag and lift while creating the right sail for their car. They will test their cars using ramp and wind power. For ages 9-13.
Monday, July 18th 3:30-4:30 p.m. PAWS for Reading. Registered therapy dogs are excellent listeners. Kids are invited to read their favorite books to a furry, four-pawed friend. Each reader will receive a free book provided by the Tulsa Library Trust. For ages 5-12. Pre-registration is recommended. Call 918-549-7624 to reserve your child’s spot.
Wednesday, July 20th 3:30-4:30 p.m. Teen/Tween LEGO Build-Off Competition. Participants will have one hour to build an original creation based on the theme “Get In the Game–Read.” LEGOS will be provided. Prizes will be given for first, second and third place. Monday, July 25th 6-7 p.m. Pajama Storytime and Stuffed Animal Sleepover. Put on your pajamas and bring your stuffed animal to the library for a sleepover! We will enjoy a pajama storytime and leave our stuffed animals at the library for overnight fun. You may pick your animal the next day. You will also receive a photo book filled with pictures of all the fun that your animal had at the sleepover. For ages 1-7.
Saturday, August 6th: The Summer Reading Program ends. However, we will keep supplies on hand for readers who finish the program after the official end date. As long as supplies last, we will have prizes available until the end of August.
