She went to be with the Lord February 16, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Due to her fathers employment in the oilfield she moved a lot growing up, living in Oklahoma, Illinois, and Kansas. She completed her secondary education in Douglass, Kansas, graduating with the Douglass High School Class of 1954. Marilyn married Alvin E. Crawford on August 4, 1957, in Winfield, Kansas. They moved to Tulsa in 1958, moving to Owasso in 1959. In 1981, they moved to South Carolina where she enjoyed babysitting, then moving back to Owasso in 1991. Marilyn was a homemaker, a telephone operator in Winfield, and a secretary with an insurance office in Tulsa. Later in life she worked at Baptist Book Store, Arby’s and Yale Cleaners. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including sewing, baking, reading, working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, and tracing the genealogies of her and Alvin’s families. After Alvin retired, they traveled around the country doing genealogy and sight-seeing. Their travels included Alaska, a place she really enjoyed visiting.
