Kay Brock was born May 11, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Paul and Della (Upjohn) Purcell. She died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, in Tulsa at the age of 68 years. Kay was reared and educated in Tulsa where she was a lifelong resident. She spent over 36 years as a secretary and bus driver with Allen Bowden Schools in Tulsa and had also worked the past 11 years as a member greeter with Sam’s Club. She was a faithful member of Freedom Life Church of God in Tulsa for over 46 years. Kay enjoyed spending time with her family, especially doing things for her kids and grandkids. She particularly enjoyed cooking for the holidays, family get togethers, and events at her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leroy Purcell and Lloyd Purcell.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 8:00 Friday, January 10, 2014, and funeral service 10:00 Saturday, January 11, 2014, both at Freedom Life Church of God in Tulsa with Reverend Steven Lacy officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Freedom Life Church of God, designated to Coats for Kids, 4605 South Tacoma Avenue, Tulsa, OK, 74107.
