Kari Garza-Ortiz passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. Keri was born on February 28, 1963 in Tulsa, Ok to Hugo and Neta (Brown) Garza-Ortiz. She was a Tribal member of the Choctaw Nation. She was a great lover of music and participated in the High School Band and was also 1st chair French horn player. She traveled to Ireland with the band to play in an International band contest. She sang in her Father’s church from Cherub Choir to the Adult Choir. She sang as long as her legs could climb to the loft.
She had many friends and was known for her speed and accuracy in her job at Community Care. Keri worked until about 5 years ago, when she had to retire because she couldn’t walk very far.
Her Mom and Dad checked in on her every day to see if her needs were being met. One of her favorite things was watching movies with her Mom and Dad and having Sunday lunch together. She loved to laugh. Her nieces and nephews were her delight.
Keri was a lifetime member of Will Rogers Methodist Church.
We know that Jesus was her best friend and depended on him for her survival. Her Jesus picture was across the room where she could see it and pray daily for protection, comfort and guidance. Now, she isn’t suffering any longer.
Hallelujah!!!!!!!
