Kevin Ralph James was born June 28, 1953, in Baytown, Texas, to Ralph James, Jr., and Sylvia Price Jonas. He died Monday, November 21, 2016, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 63 years. Kevin was reared and educated in Channelview, Texas, and graduated with the Channelview High School Class of 1971. He continued his education attending University of Houston where he earned his Bachelor of Technology in Air Conditioning Design in 1977. Kevin was married October 14, 1977, at the Forever and Always Wedding Chapel in Houston, Texas, to Jane Martha Dunlop. His working life began as a Cessna pilot and instructor for five years, then as an air conditioner engineer and designer. He finished his career as a kitchen designer with Home Depot for 15 years receiving multiple awards and recognition. Kevin enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially building and fixing his own computer. He was an avid gun collector and would spend time target shooting. Reading and writing were an interest and included writing and publishing a book. He also enjoyed planes, sport cars, traveling, teasing his sisters, sci-fi movies, studying the Bible, and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Jane on May 19, 2016.
Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Marion Medical Mission, 1412 Shawnee Drive, Marion, Illinois, 62959. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
