Leona “Onnie” Elaine Testerman was born Jan. 28th, 1965, in Tulsa, OK to Charles Leon and Joellen Jones. She passed from this life on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her home in Owasso, OK at the age of 59 years. Leona was raised in Catoosa, OK. She moved to Ponca City where she managed the Poncan Plaza Theater for many years. In 1990 Leona returned to Tulsa, OK where she married the love of her life, Robert Dewayne Testerman on Feb. 11, 1995, and lived in Collinsville, Ok. They later bought a house and resided in Owasso, OK.
Leona spent her days doing what she loved, taking care of her family. She was excited at the biggest events when it came to Holidays. The popcorn popper and cotton candy machine were always warm and ready to welcome family and guests.
Everyone wanted to be a part of the kid party. Where adults could be kids. There was always something for everyone. Food, drinks and great big fun. You could always pick her house out of the rest. It was always decorated, which would somehow make an appearance in the paper. Leona never met a stranger; she was quick with a smile or joke of the day. Leona loved at the depth most never understood. If you were lucky to be counted as a friend, then you became family.
She sought out the next big craft idea and wanted all to participate in the Fun. She fell in love with crafting when she was young. She enjoyed cross stitch, plastic canvas work, wood working, making cups and painting. She could do it all. There was no task too big or too small for her. The Christmas decorations was the time she enjoyed the most, decorating their monster truck for the parade welcoming all to join her.
Leona was the best teacher. She taught many how to perm hair. How to do their own nails. She truly was the woman of many great talents. If she didn’t know how to do it, she would spend hours watching videos to teach herself the skills she needed to do the task at hand.
Leona is loved by many people.

Son, Robert Allen Testerman of Owasso, OK;
Daughter, Amanda Merkey of Sperry, OK;
Son, Darrin Priest of Tahlequah, OK;
Sister, Linda Thatcher and husband, Greg of Tulsa, OK;
7 grandchildren, one niece, five nephews, 8 great nephews, 2 great nieces as well as many friends that became family and loved her.
A visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Monday April 15, 2024, at Mowery Funeral Service.
Funeral service will be 2pm on Tuesday April 16th, 2024, at Mowery Funeral Service Chapel, Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso.
