Lou Ann Thompson was born February 19, 1930, in Tennessee. She died Friday, March 7, 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years. Lou Ann was reared and educated in Miami, Arizona. She was married December 10, 1948, in Miami, Arizona, to Marcus Fredrick Thompson. They had their home in Owasso since 1983. Lou Ann spent much of her working life in various positions as an administrative assistant. She also volunteered for many years with the Akdar Shrine Circus. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including ceramics, crocheting, and spending time gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Marcus Thompson.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Dennis Miles officiating. Committal services and interment will be held at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Lou Ann’s memory to Clarehouse, 7617 South Mingo Road, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74133. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
