Louis Franklin Ward was born on November 23, 1930, in Bristow, Oklahoma, to Louis Franklin Ward, Sr. and Adella Fern (Weaver) Ward. He passed from this life on Tuesday May 14, 2024, at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years. Louis was raised and educated in Bristow and graduated with the Bristow High School Class of 1948. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1949-1952. He was married on February 11, 1980, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Betty Jo (Johnson) Ward. Louis spent most of his working life as an aircraft electrical technician at McDonald Douglas & Boeing Aircraft for a total of 42 years. He was a proud member of the local American Legion and VFW posts. In his spare time, Louis enjoyed a variety of past times such as fishing, reading, and studying world history.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Frank & Adella Fern Ward, brother Leon Ward, and sister Darlene Ward Horn.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. There will be a visitation in the Chapel one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Therese Catholic Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
