Mabel D. Baker, 91 of Owasso passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Evergreen Care Center after a brief illness. She was born June 4, 1924 in Linesville, PA to Charles and Agatha (Hoffman) Roncaglione. Mabel was one of nine children. She grew up on a dairy farm that her father owned in Linesville.Baker, M


As a young girl she attended and graduated from Linesville School. She later met and married her high school sweetheart David Baker. They spent more than 60 years together until David’s passing in 2008. Mabel and David lived most of their married lives in the Harmonsburg, PA area where she worked for Talon Zipper Company. After her husband’s death she moved to Owasso to be closer to her son Larry. Mabel spent the past few years at the Baptist Village Community of Owasso.
 


Mabel’s social life consisted mostly of family gatherings. They were her pride and joy. She loved attending family reunions, going to her mom and dad’s house on the weekends, gardening when she had time, and cooking for her family. Mom will always be remembered for her signature 7-Up salad. It was a “must have” at any family gathering.
 


Those left behind to mourn Mabel’s passing include;
One son; Larry & wife Shirley Baker of Owasso, OK.
One Grandson; Michael Baker of Tulsa, OK.
One Granddaughter; Dr. Sharon Baker of Owasso, OK.
Two Great Grandchildren; Shean Baker, and Ben Baker
One Great-Great Grandchild; Thomas Baker
One Sister; Dorothy Rose of Ashtabula, OH.
One Brother; Bob Roncaglione of Pennsylvania
 
Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and a host of friends.
 


Mabel was preceded in death by her husband David in 2008, her parents, and several brothers & sisters. There are no local services planned at this time.
