Marllon Lee Cook, Jr. passed from this life on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Marllon was born on September 21, 1957, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Marllon Lee “ML” Cook, Sr. and Bonnie Lou (Pryor) Cook. Much of Marllon’s happiest childhood memories involved playing, swimming, teasing, fishing, and other various activities with his 5 siblings.
Marllon graduated from Owasso High School Class of 1975. At this high school is where Marllon met his friend, Mike Day who had a sister named Debbie. Marllon married Debra L. (Day) Cook on March 2, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During this long loving marriage of 44 years, Marllon and Debbie had two kids, Melinda Marie Cook and Marllon Daniel Cook, and 3 grandkids, Marllon Joshua Cook, Samuel Lee Cook, and Ivy Katherine Cook.
Concrete was one of Marllon’s passions even at an early age with his family’s concrete construction company. Marllon co-owned a very successful concrete construction company with his brother Bill Cook. They built a variety of concrete types from highly detailed colored and stamped decorative concretes to large post-tensioned floor slabs.
Marllon has faithfully served the Lord for 30 years as a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, collecting coins, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marllon, Sr. and Bonnie.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Linzy Slayden officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Marllon’s memory to Friendship Baptist Church Missions Fund, 14100 E. 86th. St. N., Owasso, OK 74055.
