Mary Imogene Bevins was born February 10, 1930, in Drumright, Oklahoma, to Charles Alford Delozier and Myrtle V. Ferguson Delozier. She died Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 94 years. Imogene completed her secondary education in Drumright and graduated with the Drumright High School Class of 1946. She was married February 27, 1946, in Oilton, Oklahoma, to Bob Bevins.
Imogene became a hairdresser in 1969 and had spent her working life as a beautician since that time. She and Bob moved to the Owasso area in 1977, where she continued working. Imogene was a strong woman of faith and was a longtime active member of the Collinsville Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes, but her grandchildren brought her the most joy.
Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include;
Son; Gary Bevins, of Tulsa
Daughter; Jan Lawrence and husband Dennis, of Tulsa
Two grandchildren; Jeremy and Dennis
Four great grandchildren; Kaleb, Sidney, Daymon, and Dillon.
And a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob Bevins, son, Robert Bevins, and sister, Iris Robertson.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Tim Odom officiating. A time of visitation and viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Private family disposition will be held at a later date.
