Matthew Leigh Moody was born December 6, 1966, in Brevard County, Florida to Samuel Paul and Marie Agnita (Schulte) Moody. He passed from this life Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 50 years. Matt was raised in Brevard County, Florida until he was 5 and then moved in 1972 to Fullerton, California. The family then moved in 1981 to Santa Maria, California. He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Santa Maria with the Class of 1985, as an avid athlete earning a full ride scholarship to college. He was married August 6, 2005, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Rebecca Spring (Yates) Moody. Matt spent most of his working life as an Outside Salesman with Mill Creek Lumber in Owasso, Oklahoma and Building Solutions of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Christmas Eve 2007 Matt and his friends were golfing Goat Hill and on hole 12 got a hole in one. Matt was so tickled he never seriously played golf again. He instead enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as reading, camping, boating, watching NASCAR, and he loved traveling, especially taking the backroads whenever he could.
