Merle L. Allison was born July 4, 1938, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to William and Wanda Lillian Jones Allison. He died Monday, April 27, 2020, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Merle was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He spent most of his working life as a self-employed truck driver. He was married May 4, 1980, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Billie Marie Wingo. One of Merle’s passions was riding motorcycles and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Rider’s Association. He was instrumental in organizing the annual “Toys For Kids” motorcycle ride. He was of the Pentecostal faith and loved to play bluegrass music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Billie Allison, daughter, Cindy Moorhouse, five brothers, Dale Allison, Don Allison, Ted Allison, Henry Allison, Melvyn Allison, and two sisters, Vivian Wadsworth, and Lois Marley.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Private family graveside will be held Friday, May 1, 2020, at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
