Michele E Levo, 69, a longtime Miami resident and educator passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 with her family surrounding her. Mrs. Levo was born October 3, 1945 in Potsdam, New York to George Earl and Elizabeth Catherine (Manville) Amelotte. Michele married her husband Chuck in Fullerton, California on April 27, 1968. She worked as an elementary School teacher for many years in California, Ohio and then Oklahoma. She and Chuck were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami; she was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and PEO. Mrs. Levo was an avid tennis player and had won the City Championship at one time. Michele was preceded in passing by her parents George and Betty.
Survivors include her husband Chuck Levo of the home, her daughter Chelsea Levo of Owasso and Denise Stewart of Berthoud, Colorado, two brothers Steve Amelotte and his wife Bonnie of Tempe, Arizona and Chris Amolette and his wife Kathleen of San Diego, California, a sister Denise Woods and her husband Dale of Sacramento, California and one granddaughter Meredith Harkins of Collinsville, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Miami.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami with Reverend Carl Kerkemeyer officiating.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Miami Public Schools Enrichment Foundation, 26 North Main, Miami, and OK 74354.
