01/29/2025 – Morrow Elementary School Official contacted Owasso Police regarding discrepancies Morrow Elementary officials found to the Morrow Elementary Parent Teacher Organization financial account(s).
School officials reported a check that was written by the PTO for a legitimate school related purchase did not clear the bank, prompting school officials to investigate. Owasso Public Schools Administration looked into the account transactions going back several years and found multiple discrepancies and (alleged) illegitimate purchases made through the PTO account.
Owasso Public School officials promptly called Owasso Police to report the incidents and are fully cooperating with the investigation. A public release made by Owasso Public Schools on 01-28-2025 notifying parents of the investigation prompted media attention.
Owasso Police are in the very early stages of the investigation of an alleged complicated financial crime, but at this point it appears there are over $100,000.00 worth of alleged illegitimate transactions on said account.
This is an ongoing criminal investigation.
