Nancy Carol Rowland was born on June 30, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Guy Herbert Anderson and Ada Pauline (Tanner) Anderson. She passed from this life on Saturday, October 23, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years. Nancy was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1963. She then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree and her master’s degree in education from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was married to Herman Rowland on June 3, 1971, until his death on February 21, 1995. Nancy worked at various schools but spent most of her working life as an elementary teacher with Gypsy Public Schools in Gypsy, Oklahoma for 32 years. She had most recently attended Faith United Methodist Church in Tulsa. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed a variety of past times such as spending time with her Yorkie, Angel, watching Syfy movies, raising and riding Quarter horses, and raising ponies for her daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ada, husband, Herman, brother, Guy Jr., and her grandson, Jacob.
Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
