Neta Sue (Williams) Anderson Carrino entered heaven early on the morning of September 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was a very beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a bonus Mom and “Grandma Neta” to many. Her family and extended family were her greatest treasures.
She was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on April 21, 1942, to Odes B. Williams and Ellen Weeden Williams. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1960 and completed her education degree at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma a few years later. She graduated with honors, all completed with three small children at home! She later completed her Master’s Degree at Northeastern State University. She was a teacher for 28 years in the Tulsa Public Schools system, with most of her years spent at Disney Elementary School. She worked part time for several more years for the TPS Child Nutrition Program, and worked elections for the Rogers County Election Board. Neta enjoyed a very happy and active life in retirement. She loved to travel, taking many trips around the U.S. and abroad with her husband, family and friends. She had OU football season tickets for 50 years, and loved the trips to Norman and other states for OU football games. She also enjoyed clogging and German dancing, gardening, birds and nature, and most of all, spending time with her family. She especially loved Summer time, and having her grandkids and many others over to swim. She was a very active member of St Cecelia Catholic Church in Claremore, and enjoyed many other activities and organizations including the Tulsa Parrot Head Club. She was always ready to “go” and lived her life to the fullest.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 20 years, David Carrino (and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren), and her children Chris Anderson, Missy (Greg) Keeter and Mary Moore. Her grandchildren: Austin (Paige), Aaron and KC Anderson, Sarah Coonce, Riley, Carson and Kellen Keeter and Madi and Evan Moore. She also had several great grandchildren, and many other lifelong friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odes and Ellen Williams, brother, Odes Williams Jr., her husband of 32 years, Carmon “Shorty” Anderson, grandson, Ian Moore, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
