04/03/2019 – Beginning in July of 2019, Oklahoma motorists will keep their license plates when they sell their vehicles.
When purchasing a new or used vehicle, you will place that tag on the vehicle that you purchase.
This will replace the old system where license plates stay with the cars after they are sold, then transferred to the new owner.
