On October 24, 2015 the Owasso Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution dedicated a bench the Chapter donated to the Owasso Veteran’s Memorial Park.  The Owasso Chapter strives to follow its guidelines as a non-political women’s service organization, whose motto is God, Home, and Country and to promote Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism.  The bench is in addition to other donated benches that are there for the community to honor our veterans.  The bench was installed as a reminder of the sacrifice American men and women have made for this country. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMayor Moberly issued a Proclamation for October 24, 2015 to be Owasso Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution Day.  State Regent Orriene Denslow was in attendance for the dedication. The Owasso Chapter extends its gratitude to its members for their dedication in raising money for this project and to the National Society of Daughters of American Revolution who helped with a grant.  The Chapter would like to thank David Warren, Recreation & Culture Parks Coordinator, Elishya Cook, Park Administrative Coordinator, and our most stalwart supporter Jerry Fowler, City of Owasso Neighborhood Coordinator for their help. Along with Cyndi Knoten of Owassoisms, Josh Burton and Haylie Smart of the “Owasso Reporter,” and to Mayor Jeri Moberly; “we are grateful for the support you have given us, and we do extend our thanks.”
