Obituary for Clarence Edward “Ed” Phillips

Clarence Edward “Ed” Phillips was born on May 14, 1936, in Philippi, West Virginia to Harold Phillips and Ruby Phillips. He passed from this life on Monday, January 8, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. He was raised in West Virginia until moving to Ohio during his high school years. He graduated with the Southeast High School Class of 1955. Ed served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was married on February 18, 1977, in Rootstown, Ohio to Rita Pauline (Bennett) Phillips. Ed spent most of his working life as a truck driver for General Electric. After retirement, he volunteered with Seedline International Ministries.

Ed was a longtime faithful member of West Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama, and Liberty Bible Church in Atwater, Ohio. In his spare time, he enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as hunting, fishing, boating, and gardening. He is survived by;
