While the kids are away from school on summer break the Owasso Police Force is training, and training hard in those schools, to ensure officers are prepared for any worse case scenarios.
“ALERT”, Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training, a progression of Active Shooter Training, was being taught and trained at Bailey Elementary School last week.
Law Enforcement Trainers from the Tulsa Airport Police instructed the training. Officers from Owasso, Glenpool, OSU Tulsa Campus Police and Tulsa Airport Police, among others, were involved in the training.
Owasso Police will continue ALERT as well as Active Shooter training this summer in other schools and in the future.
