ORU to Celebrate Christmas with Free Concert and Children’s Carnival
TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts University will be hosting a free Christmas concert and children’s carnival on Friday, December 5, 2014. The musical celebration titled “Joy to the World” is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m. in the ORU Mabee Center.
A free Around the World Christmas Carnival will begin at 6:15 p.m. on the Mabee Center concourse and mezzanine prior to the concert. The carnival will include Christmas treats, holiday games, hands-on activities and free photos with Santa Claus.
“Joy to the World” will feature performances from trumpeter Dave Brown, vocalist Kelly Ford, vocalist Brian Nhira and guitarist Jason Swanson as well as the ORU chamber choir and chamber orchestra.
General admission is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy to the Salvation Army through the ORU Cheerleaders’ “Bring Good Cheer” toy drive.
