06/28/2018 – Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a personal injury collision occurred June 28th on US 69 South bound approximately 3/10th of a mile South of County Road (NS 430), 2 miles South of Chouteau, in Mayes County.
A 2002 Saturn L200, driven by an unknown driver, was Southbound on US69, failed to negotiate a curve, departed the road to the right, and struck a damaged guardrail. After impact, vehicle 1 continued Southbound overturning about two times and the driver left the scene.
A passenger Billy Tatum, 32 of Owasso was transported by M.E.S.T.A. EMS with head, trunk external, trunk internal, and leg injuries to Hillcrest Hospital in Pryor, Ok. Admitted in stable condition.
