Owasso Highway Patrol reports an Owasso man was injured in an accident just before 4pm Sunday. The accident occured at 126th Street North and Memorial.
Jimmy Downey III, 39 of Coweta with a 16 year old passenger was driving a 2013 Chevrolet sedan westbound on 126th Street North were he ran a stop sign and was hit by a 2011 Jeep driven by 65 year old Tim Connor of Owasso. Conner’s Jeep then rolled an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its top.
Downey was not injured. His juvenile passenger was taken to a Tulsa area hospital where he was treated and released. Conner was transported to a Tulsa area hospital in critical condition with a head injury.
Seatbelts were in use by all.
OHP reports Downey was under the influence of alcohol.
