Owasso Police arrested a woman who reportedly tried to get relatives and restaurant employees at Buffalo Wild Wings in Owasso to bypass into her car’s breath alcohol ignition interlock device early Monday morning.
The police report shows that just after midnight, police were called to the restaurant. When they arrived they found Kayla Martin-Weliwita who appeared to be intoxicated.
The relatives told police that Kayla, 35 was drunk and wanted them to provide a breath sample for her car’s BAIID, but they had refused.
Officers spoke with restaurant employees who said Martin-Weliwita asked numerous employees to provide breath samples so her car would start, but they had refused.
Kayla Martin-Weliwita was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of public intoxication, child abuse and neglect. Jail records show her bond at $100,000 with a court appearance set for June 7.
