Today, Owasso Police addresses citizen concerns over a flyer some had received.
A post to the Owasso Police Facebook page reads as follows:
“A private company is apparently mailing flyers to Owasso residents that have confused some utility customers (image of the flyer attached).
These flyers are NOT a bill from the City of Owasso nor is the City offering free steak dinners to our utility customers. To our knowledge, criminal fraud has not been reported related to these flyers, but there has been some confusion about their source being the City rather than a private business. The City of Owasso is not affiliated with this company and we cannot vouch for the legitimacy of any private business advertisement.”
This notice was the first time Owassoisms has heard of the issue.
