Owasso Public School – 7th Grade Center – Alleged threat of violence – 05-13-2016
Owasso Police are actively investigating a threat reported by a student at the Owasso 7th Grade Center.
A student overheard what he thought was a threat regarding an act of violence at the 7th Grade Center tomorrow. The student was unable to identify who he heard it from. While there is little information to work with at this time, police are investigating.
We take all of these situations seriously so this afternoon and all day tomorrow there will be additional police presence at the 7th grade center. There has already been widespread social media coverage of this threat and police dispatch has been inundated with phone calls regarding the alleged threat.
