Just after noon Sunday, Owasso Police were dispatched to the area of Kohls Department Store, 12405 East 96th Street North, after reports of a man walking around the parking lot in clown make-up.
When police arrived the man was spotted in a vehicle in the parking lot nearby.
An Owasso K-9 officer was seen circling the vehicle during the stop.
After speaking with the man at length, he told officers: he worked at a haunted house attraction and had stopped at Kohls to shop. When he left the store he could not remember where he parked his vehicle, and that is why he was wandering the parking lot.
He was released and stated he was going home to wash off his make-up.
