Owasso Police are looking for a man seen stealing a log splitter from outside Atwoods at 116th Street North and Garnett early Wednesday morning.
A driver reported seeing a man outside Atwoods dragging the log splitter behind his truck. When he realized the driver saw him he pulled in behind Discovery Church just north of Atwoods. The reporting party told dispatchers he reappeared from the back of the church before police arrived, driving east on 116th Street, still dragging the splitter.
A Collinsville officer spotter the suspects truck turning north on 129th East Ave. When officers arrived the driver ran from the truck near 121st Street North.
Owasso Police searched the area, as well as a K9 officer from Tulsa but were unable to locate the suspect.
The truck (and log splitter) were towed in for processing.
