Counting the coins helped the students with both their money and math skills

Students kindergarten through the sixth grade at Owasso Preparatory Academy have been collecting pocket change for the last few weeks, with the sole purpose of donating the monies to a local non-profit organization.
Congratulations to Mrs. Gentry’s first and second graders who brought in the most money.
The students collection efforts also helped them with their money and math skills along the way.
In total, $243.58 was collected by the children.
Once collected, the children worked together to tally their funds.
Names of possible recipients were placed in a jar, with the winner being drawn today. Pregnancy Resource Center in Owasso was the name drawn to receive the fund.
