04/30/2019 – A teen on a bicyclist was injured after being struck by a pickup on 96th Street North Monday evening around 9:30 pm, near 136th East Avenue.
Issac Diahel, 18, of Owasso was riding eastbound on 96th Street, when a pickup struck him from behind, dragging him underneath the truck approx. 44 feet. A second car also struck the bicycle, but not Diahel. The driver of the second car, Chris Vogel, tells Owassoisms that he is the one that called 911. Vogel stated that the injured teen was not alert when he reached him, but was moaning and moving his arms a bit, but did not acknowledge him. Owasso Medics arrived and transported Diahel to a Tulsa Hospital with unspecified injuries.
It was dark and raining at the time of the accident. It is reported that the bicycle did not have a rear reflector.
