04/15/2019 – On April 5th at 4:25 PM, Officers were dispatched to Kum & Go about a theft from a vehicle report. A customer reported that she had gone inside the store, inadvertently leaving her purse in her vehicle. The victim reported that she returned to her vehicle a few minutes later and found her purse missing. Surveillance cameras captured the alleged theft by a white female wearing a purple shirt driving a red Chevrolet sedan. The suspect appears to have parked next to the victim’s car, opened the door and took the purse before leaving the area. The Michael Kors purse contained various items totaling approximately $400 in value.
On 04/15/2019, at 1:30 PM, the Owasso Police Department posted pictures of the suspect on social media in the hopes of making an identification. Numerous tips were received from the public related to the suspect’s possible identity.
At approximately 7 PM, a woman came to the Owasso Police Department, reporting that she was the person who had stolen the purse. The woman, identified as Marcy Martin, stated that she had seen her picture on social media and acknowledged that she was the person who had stolen the purse from the vehicle. Martin had the stolen purse in her possession and surrendered it to officers. She was arrested on the charge of Burglary from an Automobile.
