Patricia Ann Hurst was born July 12, 1946, in Asheville, North Carolina, to Henry Lloyd Byas and Nettie Short Byas. She died at home surrounded by family Monday, December 16, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years. Pat completed her secondary education at Charles D. Owen High School in Black Mountain, North Carolina. She was a veteran of the armed forces having served her country honorably in the United States Navy.
Pat spent most of her professional career in the finance industry working in collections. She also worked as a homemaker and caregiver. She was a longtime faithful member of Rejoice Church in Owasso. She dearly loved her family and was affectionately known as “Grandma” to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nettie Byas. Brothers Chester Byas, Henry Byas Jr., and sister Sandra Byas.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Owasso with Pastor Smokey Hurst officiating. Final resting place will be at San Bois Cemetery near Kinta, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
