Patsy M. Jernigan was born April 10, 1937 in Post, Texas. She died Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years. Pasty completed her secondary education at Lubbock (Texas) High School. She was married August 9, 1968, in Lubbock, Texas, to Ben Jernigan. She had worked as a cashier for John Halsey Drug Store, spent time working in daycare, but primarily served as a hostess with Lubbock American State Bank. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including reading and cooking, especially desserts. She was especially fond of her role as “Nana”.

Great grandchildren; Caleb Riggs, Connor Riggs, Henry Riggs, George Riggs, and Heidi Riggs
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Hearn, husband, Ben Jernigan, and three brothers, Byron Nickens, Jerry Nickens, and Donnie Nickens
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Aaron Riggs and Andy Riggs speaking. Final resting place with be at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Evergreen Care Center, 12600 East 73rd Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055, or the Mimosa Assisted Living Center Library, 7310 North 127th East Avenue, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
