This statement was put out by Owasso Police Thursday, after numerous calls about the solicitors. The photo is from an Owassoisms reader who caught them on their security camera.
“We have received several reports that a man is going door to door in Owasso attempting to sell “Neighborhood Watch” and “No Solicitation” stickers, claiming to represent Owasso Community Resources/suggesting that the profits from the $10.00 stickers will benefit this organization. OPD has been in contact with OCR and this person is NOT affiliated with their organization; nor is he affiliated with the Owasso Alert Neighborhood Program, which is the legitimate neighborhood watch initiative in Owasso.
This person does not possess a valid permit to make door to door sales, so please contact the Owasso Police department at 918-272-2244 if he comes to your door.
